Mattaliano draws on the invention, personality, and poetry of the 20th century — the qualities we believe make design timeless and historically important.
Every piece in the collection is conceived in Chicago and made by hand in the American Midwest. Casegoods, upholstery, and lighting are built one at a time from the finest materials available — figured hardwoods, vellum, cast bronze, hand-applied gold leaf, and stone — using techniques that reward slowness and a maker's eye.
The result is furniture with the confidence of the modern masters and the character of something made for a single room. Because each piece is built to order, customization is limited only by the material at hand and the designer's imagination — a finish, a dimension, a leather, a stone top adjusted to the project.
Mattaliano is designed by Darcy Bonner and has become a quiet staple of interiors by leading designers and architects. The collection has appeared in Architectural Digest, Luxe Interiors & Design, House & Garden, House Beautiful, and Veranda, and is available to the trade through representative showrooms across North America.
